Parent Information
For our younger cricketers, we know that you as parents invest a lot of time and energy into delivering your children to the EYCA for their training sessions. So, we’d like to let you know a little more about us.
EYCA Coaching Team and Personnel
All coaches in EYCA are trained & certified coaches (Cricket Australia) with whom your child will be in contact with as your child engages in their cricket journey with us. Check our programs pages for specific training to get more details about various options. Keep an eye on this Parents Information page too for regular updates.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Parents are welcome to remain on site at the EYCA. We ask that you please not enter the nets or fielding area, and if you meet up with friends to please be aware that it could be distracting for your child to be within earshot of you while they are training. We believe that superior learning experiences are had and accelerated development is obtained when parents are not present. This policy and our philosophy on player self sufficiency and growth will go hand in hand in seeing skills, self belief/confidence nurtured to the highest degree possible.
We expect your child to be ready to train – which means in the appropriate clothing – before their scheduled time slot. Our recommendation is that they arrive fifteen minutes beforehand and If you think you will be later than fifteen minutes to pick them up, please just let us know.
Cancellations
Coaching sessions that are cancelled due to weather or ground unavailability will not be refunded unless club specifically communicates refund for a particular cancelation. As members you will receive cancelation, absentee & refund policies on regular basis.
If a coach is ill or unable to attend a session due to unforeseen circumstances and no substitute coach is available to fill in, the coaching session missed will be credited or rescheduled as per membership category & policy communicated.
Cricket Equipment
We request that every child arrives with their own bat, cricket pads, appropriate footwear and a helmet. We do have a help if possible with equipment on temporary basis but it is best for your child to train in the gear they will be playing in. We are happy to offer advice about the purchasing of new cricket gear.
Medical Conditions
At EYCA the safety and welfare of your child is of the utmost importance to us. We place great emphasis on First Aid support and require all new players to declare their medical conditions on a term by term basis.
